    Agelena labyrinthica (Clerck, 1757)      [urn:lsid:amnh.org:spidersp:020860]
    Description
    Male palp with blunt patellar apophysis. Tibial apophysis pointed. Epigyne distinctly bipartite due to median bar. Prosoma yellowish-brown, with 2 broad, dark longitudinal stripes. Sternum brown. Legs yellowish, to reddish brown. Opisthosoma dark, almost black, dorsally with broad, reddish median band and light yellow chevrons.

    Body length male: 8-14 mm, Body length female: 10-16.5 mm

    in large webs near the ground in dense vegetation, mostly in sunny forest edges
